Shua’a Energy 2 aka MBR 3 is the 3rd phase of Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum Solar Park in Dubai consists of 800 MW. The plant has over 3 million PV solar panels installed across three Plots A, B, and C.

Objective
To conduct a rapid and comprehensive post-storm damage assessment of the full site, after an unseasonal extreme sandstorm in 2025 to identify physical damage to the mounting structures and panels.
Challenges
- The park spans across 3 plots, totalling 16 km2.
- Some areas contained a lot of debris and had sand drift accumulation.
- The client needed the results of the inspection to be delivered in 5 days.
Solution
To overcome these challenges, our aerial inspection team deployed 2 x DJI Matrice 350 with Zenmuse P1 Payload. We executed the flights in less than 3 days and were able to generate a comprehensive report in 1 week
